Corinne went in for her 6 month check up with Dr. Weidt on Friday. I am almost as anxious for these check ups as I was for her pre-natal appointments. Granted, I can actually see her now and can use my (usually) common sense to see that she's healthy, it's nice to hear it from a medical professional. Her stats are:
Height: 25 inches; 40th percentile
Weight: 14 pounds; 25th percentile
Head circumference: 16 1/2 inches; 25th percentile.
Yea Yea Yea! What a big girl! She has almost doubled her birth weight, and the Dr. seems to think that everything looks great! She seemed excited that I was making Corinne's food, and gave us the go ahead to try whatever with her (avoiding, of course, the known allergens). She said her sleeping schedule/duration sounds good, and that the little rolls on her arms and legs are precious :) haha, I am such a proud momma.
Corinne is sitting up on her own pretty confidently now; she is able to stay like that for 8-10 minutes, and usually topples over when she gets excited or doesn't have anything to "concentrate" on (ie. toys:). She also finds endless amusement in dogs. We went over to a neighbor's the other day (who have a dachshund) and she started giggling and laughing every time it barked or got on it's hind legs. It was too too cute! Ryan now tries to recreate this scene by barking at her, however, it doesn't seem to have quite the same effect. Just wanted to update on Corinne's stats! She's getting so big!
